Nigel A. Robins is a native of Swansea. A geographer by training, with postgraduate qualifications in Risk management, Business analysis, IT, industrial archaeology, education, local history, ecology, and geospatial sciences. He worked extensively in the UK Civil Service, including Department for Transport, Home Office, Cabinet Office, Office for Government Commerce, Major Projects Authority, DCMS, and Land Registry.
Nigel has worked as a programme manager within the UK Cabinet Office and a data and enterprise analyst for the UK Parliament and the Restoration and Repair Authority for the Palace of Westminster. Specialisms include Heritage BIM and heritage data analysis and conservation management plans.
Nigel was a Gateway Review Team Leader between 2003 and 2016 specialising in programme and project management reviews for Home Office, Treasury, DCMS, Welsh Government, FERA, Ofgem, MOD, and DFE, with over seventy reviews completed in business cases, benefits planning, benefits realisation and readiness for service.
As an enterprise analyst, Nigel specialised in digital asset management in the heritage sector. He led analysis work on strategy analysis, requirements analysis and design definition, requirements life cycle management, elicitation and collaboration, and solution evaluation.
